Conjecture 2 : Ideas are limits of languages.
That's given an idea, there exists a sequence of words in language(s) that convey (or converge to) the idea. For example, the idea of love can be conveyed through words like kaadhal, pyar or love. What I mean is, there may be some ideas which cannot be represented by words alone, like for instance Aatman or the idea of being in a blissful state, but they can be described as close as possible.

kasthuri,
no word can actually communicate a truly felt emotion. the moment u try that, there's distortion.
when u say love, its just beating about the bush. the true feeling and what acts that have gone goes behind it for the sake of loved one cannot be expressed. thats why sometimes people say nothing but still everything is appropriately conveyed.
so in my view, all words are just pointers. true communication happens in the heart.
before talking abt emotions and atman, no word can describe the taste of todays vengaya samabar sadam, which i had for lunch, or describe the smell of the perfume sported by the pakathu-seat-vellakari.
The world is of two parts[like anything else]. The real and the abstract. The real is described in words and the abstract[which i think is much more] is not.
Hence, ideas alone are not the limits of language. anything abstract is the limit.
Very thought provoking post.
I would like to encourage you to think at it from a different angle.
What is language - language is to communicate. It is like what common currency is to buy-sell.
If you spoke language 'x' and i spoke 'y' we can't even say 'yes' or 'no' :-)
That means, language at best is a mode to understand to the closest approximation of what we are trying to convey.
As Prabhu pointed out, you can't convey your love or anger by words nor by anything else.
Nothing is substitutable by something else :-)
